Privacy policy

This personal application uses Gmail access to send infrastructure notices for its operator.

Google access and its purpose

The app requests only https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send. This permission allows the app to send messages through Gmail. The app does not request permission to read your inbox, list messages, read your Google profile, or delete mail.

Authorization happens in Google's browser consent flow. The installed notifier receives the authorization result on the operator's computer and stores the resulting grant in protected local storage.

Information the notifier handles

The notifier handles the configured Google account and recipient addresses, OAuth credentials, and the generated notification message. A message can include its service or operation scope, status, reason, and a recovery reference.

OAuth access and refresh tokens are used only to authorize the app's Gmail requests. The app does not collect a Gmail password or Google app password.

Use and sharing

The notifier sends authorization requests and messages to Google. Google delivers the messages to the operator's configured recipient. The operator and that recipient can therefore receive the notice content.

Nertier Homelab Alerts does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to a data broker. It does not use Google user data to train artificial intelligence models.

The app uses information received from Google APIs only for its notification function, in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage, retention, and removal

Credentials and configuration remain on equipment managed by the operator. The operator controls the retention of local configuration, credential generations, and operation records.

You can remove this app's access in your Google Account connections settings. Revocation stops future authorized Gmail requests. It does not automatically delete mail already delivered or retained local records and recovery copies.

To remove local data or change a recipient, contact the operator who installed this personal application through your existing support channel.

This information website

These pages do not receive Google authorization codes or tokens. They contain no forms or analytics code. The website is hosted by OpenAI Sites, whose hosting services process web requests under the OpenAI privacy policy.

The homelab operator is responsible for this personal application and its configuration. Use your existing contact with the operator for privacy questions or removal requests.

The effective date above identifies this policy. Changes to how the app handles Google data require an updated policy before that behavior is introduced.
